Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-24
CarVue respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. In short: CarVue has no accounts, shows no ads, does not track you, and does not send your data to CarVue servers. The only analytics are about purchases (see Purchases).
Information stored on your iPhone
Everything you set up stays on your device: the videos you import, your M3U lists and Xtream Codes accounts (including user name and password), favorites, recents, playback positions, settings and the free-trial usage time (in the iPhone keychain). The browser keeps cookies, tab history and sign-ins to sites such as YouTube, just like Safari. You can delete this data in the app or by deleting the app.
Internet connections
CarVue only connects to:
- the servers of the lists and accounts you add, to download channels, movies and series;
- the websites you open in the browser (for example YouTube), which have their own privacy policies;
- Google's icon service and the sites' home pages, to show browser shortcut icons (only the site name is sent);
- Apple, for in-app purchases;
- RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider (see Purchases).
CarVue does not share this information with anyone else.
Location
If you allow it, CarVue uses GPS speed to pause video on the car screen while the vehicle is moving. Location is processed on the iPhone, is not stored and is not sent anywhere.
Microphone and speech recognition
If you use voice typing or voice search, CarVue uses the microphone and Apple's speech recognition to turn your voice into text. That audio may be processed by Apple under its privacy policy. CarVue does not keep recordings.
Photos and files
CarVue only accesses the videos you choose to import from Photos or Files.
Screen casting
When you cast your iPhone screen to the car, the picture travels only inside your iPhone (from the broadcast extension to the app) and is shown on the CarPlay screen. It is not recorded or sent over the internet. Everything on your screen is shown, including notifications.
Support
If you choose to report a problem, an e-mail is prepared with technical details (app and iOS version, iPhone model, CarPlay status, amount of content) and the app log, which may include video or channel names and server names. You decide whether to send it. We use it only to help you and delete it when no longer needed.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. CarVue does not receive your payment details.
To keep your subscription or purchase working and to understand which plans and offers work best, CarVue uses RevenueCat. It receives your App Store purchase history (products, dates, prices, country and whether a free trial or offer code was used) linked to a random ID created by the app — not your name, e-mail or Apple Account — and a few usage facts about the free time (whether it ran out and whether you shared the app to get extra minutes, and with which app). This data is not used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
Children
CarVue is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
